McRent expands motorhome hire business to the UK

McRent is continuing its aggressive European expansion and has announced that it will be opening a new office in London. Germany’s largest motorhome hire specialist, which offers a range of Dethleffs vehicles, plans to offer around 1,000 motorhomes to UK customers beginning in 2013.

McRent bills itself as Europe’s largest motorhome rental company and already offers a wide network of suppliers across 48 rental stations in Europe, including in Germany, Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, Norway and the Netherlands. Now there is to be an additional station, as McRent expands into the UK market with the opening of a new rental station in London. McRent has astutely chosen to partner with Enfield-based Wild Horizon Motorhome Hire, which has long experience as a motorhome rental company and is already an established player in what is a highly competitive local market.

Basing the new hire station in London means that it is very conveniently located close to all the main airports. McRent clearly has its eye on a customer base of European travelers visiting the UK for driving holidays. The London location will enable hirers to fly into Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted or Luton and pick up their motorhome the same day, reducing travel time and ensuring that their motorhome holiday gets off to the best possible start.

Wild Horizon offers RVs, campers and motorhomes in three different vehicle categories – from semi-integrated to large alcove. All campers meet the latest safety standards. The McRent motorhomes are never older than two years, have a shower, toilet, and usually have an awning and in-cab air conditioning. All new motorhome users receive a detailed briefing by trained staff so they are fully prepared for handling the vehicles.

UK motorhome rental is also available on the erento marketplace.
