Europcar launch eReady scheme for business travellers

Europcar promises business travellers faster car hire

Europcar, the market-leading car hire provider in Europe, has launched a new service that aims to speed up the car hire process for customers travelling on business. The new fast-track service, eReady, allows business travellers who book their cars online to effectively ‘jump the queue’ upon arrival at their pickup destination, going to ‘Ready Service’ counters to collect their keys.

Ken McCall, managing director of Europcar UK Group, said eReady was part of the company’s continuing efforts to develop new services for the corporate market: “We know that business travel can be stressful and as such we aim to offer practical, seamless and efficient solutions to keep business drivers on the move.

“Once a booking is confirmed on eReady all a customer has to do is show the relevant credit card and their driving licence for a quick and easy pick-up. It’s another example of our focus on giving business customers better value from our car hire solutions.”

The service, which is free of charge, will be available at many Europcar locations across the UK, as well as mainland Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Europcar is speeding up the pickup process by collecting booking data ahead of time during the online purchase process, meaning that business customers arriving at the service counters simply sign the rental agreement and then can immediately collect their vehicles.
