Speedy Hire strikes Middle East deal with Carillion

September 21, 2009 - Tool hire specialist Speedy Hire has put the ink on a deal with Al-Futtaim Carillion, the Dubai-based joint venture between local industrial group Al-Futtain and UK contractor Carillion.

Speedy agreed a deal to provide equipment, asset management and support services to Al-Futtaim Carillion, in a move that signals the group’s first entry into the Middle East market.

Steve Corcoran, Speedy’s chief executive, said: “We see attractive long term growth opportunities in the region and are delighted that this memorandum of understanding provides an opportunity for us to extend the scope of our activities with Carillion outside the UK.” He added: “We expect this initiative to provide an excellent platform to extend our services to other customers across the Middle East and other geographic territories over time.”
