It is now possible to display different prices for an item for each of your branches.

If you have multiple locations or branches, it can happen that an item is not always the same price from store to store. By customer request, erento has introduced ‘location pricing’ to better reflect the pricing requirements of your business.

Default pricing vs. location pricing
To launch location pricing, we first needed to create ‘default’ prices. You will already be familiar with the concept of ‘default’ if you have edited your opening hours and contact details. The default price is required when a customer is searching for an item without entering a desired location. It acts as a fallback when it is not clear what price should be displayed. Only when a customer enters a location when searching can we show the location price (if available).

There are three possibilities to edit location pricing…

1. Location pricing in ‘My erento’
In My erento you can add, edit and delete an items pricing for each location. To simplify things we have combined the pricing and location fields in one section called ‘Locations & Pricing’.

1.	Choose the locations where the item is available.
2.	Select a pricing model and enter the default price.
3.	Click on the ‘Show different location pricing’ link.
4.	A table will open with your chosen locations where you are able to add, edit or delete the pricing.

Please note
If you select a different pricing model your location prices will be lost. Furthermore, an item can only have one pricing model.

2. Upload your location pricing via erento Customer Support
Editing individual pricing for every item could be exhausting if you have many items on erento. If you would like to edit location pricing in bulk, erento can provide you with a template file (in .csv format) where you can enter all of your location prices. Simply E-mail it back to us and we will do the upload for you. To request a template, simply phone the erento Customer Support Team or write an E-Mail to support@erento.co.uk.

3. Location prices via the erento API
Location pricing has already been available for two weeks via the erento API. Developers can inform themselves about the new feature in the erento API documentation.

The caravaning season has not yet startet but the "Motorhome of the Year 2012" has already been chosen: It's the Knaus Sky TI 650 MF. What makes this motorhome so special that it stands out from all the others?

After Knaus Tabbert’s big financial problems in 2008 caused by the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers, the company has new investors and an extended product portfolio. It increased its turnover by 30% in each of the last two years and returned to the UK in 2012. The two best-selling UK motorhome magazines “Which Motorhome” and MMM (“Motorcaravan Motorhome Monthly”) now awarded Knaus the title “Motorhome of the Year 2012″ for their new Knaus Sky TI 650 MF.

The judges rewarded the motorhome‘s excellent cost/performance ratio as it is both competitivly priced and well equipped with a practical layout, a sensible approach to storage and everything the UK motorhomer needs. The Knaus Sky TI features many functional extras, such as electric mirrors, cruise control and a cab air con. The layout inside is classic with an L-shaped lounge sofa facing a side sofa, an L-shaped kitchen, a longitudinal double bed and an adjacent bathroom.

However, this year’s “Motorhome of the Year” does obviously not just rely on the classics but offers many extras, for example a practical Service Box, a large underbed storage area, which can be accessed from inside and outside, and a flexible and yet classy washroom. All in all, the judging panel describes the Knaus Sky TI as practical, stylish and solid and therefore the deserved winner of the title “Motorhome of the Year 2012″.

A video explaining the reasons for the victory in detail and showing all the features can be found on YouTube.
Do you have a large inventory of products, multiple locations or items that need to be updated regularly? Then simply use our intelligent and user-friendly erento API to efficiently manage your items and stay on top of the game!

What is the erento API?
API stands for ‘Application Programming Interface’. It is a code that allows software programs to independently communicate with one another. Instead of using the ‘Upload an Item’ form in ‘My erento’ to upload each item individually, you can now use the API to directly upload multiple items on to erento all at once!

What is it used for?
Essentially anything you can do in ‘My erento’ to manage your items can now also be managed with the API. All at once and in record time! For example, you can create items, edit descriptions, update prices, bring multiple items online or take them offline, etc.

What are the benefits?
Inventories can be uploaded faster and there is greater control when updating items, allowing you to easily update all of your items as often as the dynamics of your business requires.

What can the API not do?
Currently the API cannot provide statistics, enquiry data, billing or contract data, however this will be incorporated over time.

Who can use the API?
You can! As the API is public, it is available to all erento clientele and developers. Please note; some basic computer programming knowledge is required.

Where can I find more information about the erento API?
You can find further reading on the API in the footer of erento under the API erento link.

Who do I contact?
To find out if the erento API can help your business, please contact your Account Manager. For technical questions, please contact Lars Ostermann from the erento Development Team. You can contact him directly at api@erento.com.

From the 1st of November you can receive a monthly Performance Overview email to help you monitor your success on erento.

The email provides an overview of how many customers viewed your items and how many enquires were generated for one complete calendar month.

Enquiries are broken down by type, such as emailed or website clicks, so you can see exactly how customers are getting in touch with you.

The Performance Overview will be sent to the default email address of your account unless you specify otherwise. To do this simply go to the Account contact details section of your ‘My erento’ account and enter a new address under ‘Performance Overview’.

If you decide you do not wish to receive the erento performance update, simply disable the feature by selecting ‘deactivate’. You can opt in and out of this service at any time.

From the 24th of August you will be able to filter and analyse statistics by location and download your statistics in CSV format.

Do you offer your hire items at multiple branches? Would you like to know which items perform best at which branch? No problem. Now you can filter your statistics by location. Furthermore you will be able to create a CSV export of your statistics.

As per today, when you view your erento statistics by ‘All locations’ you will see the total conversions (searches, enquiries, calls, etc.) for each item. If you then filter your statistics by a specific location, you will be able to see your conversions for when a potential customer has entered:

1. an item and location in the search bar at the top of the page
2. a keyword and then performed an area search
3. a keyword and then selected a location on the item detail page

For an action to be tracked, the location must be entered before the conversion is made so that the conversion can be assigned to the specific location. For example, a visitor searches erento for a “Motorhome in London” and visits the item page, resulting in a click on the ‘view phone number’ button. We then count this click as a conversion for their London branch.

Alternatively, if the visitor searches for an item without specifying a location, clicks on the ‘view phone number’ and only then selects ‘London’ in the ‘calculate cost’ box, the conversion cannot be assigned to this location. The conversion however will still be counted in the ‘all locations’ statistics total.

We will begin tracking conversions by location on the launch 24th. Unfortunately we cannot provide numbers before this date.

In the 2012 model year, Bürstner will be offering a total of 43 different floor plans in five caravan model series.

With a combined total of 27 different models, they exhibit the greatest variety in the product line-up. In the future all caravans will feature uniform Bürstner graphics with expressive colours and harmonious profiles, thus bolstering brand presence on the roads and campsites and leading to a marked recognition effect.

Up to four exterior colours

The Premio, Averso, Averso plus and Belcanto come in white with a hammered finish as standard. For the Averso, smooth metal panelling versions in white and silver are also available.

Bürstner caravans with different colouring

In addition to mint and silver in a hammered finish, the Averso plus is also available in the Jungle Edition with smooth metal panelling. The Belcanto can also be ordered in silver with a hammered finish as well as white or silver with smooth metal panelling. The basic Trecento model already features the opal paint option, although this caravan is also available in white with smooth metal panelling upon request.

Introducing twelve exclusive upholstery designs

Twelve exclusive upholstery designs are available to choose from in 2012, seven of which are new and give the interiors of Bürstner caravans an exclusive, cosy look and feel. The durable and soft upholstery theme Nova remains part of the range in the designs Amber, Rosso and Salsa, as do the leather options Strada and Eston.

Twelve exclusive upholstery designs

The new “Geneva” upholstery is being offered as standard in the Premio model series, with “Coventry” setting new standards in the Averso and Averso plus. The Nova Amber option is standard in the Averso fifty. The Belcanto features the “Madeira” theme, while the Trecento is decked out in “Atlanta”.

All spruced up: the Premio

The designers and interior designers have devoted particular attention to the Premio. The product line-up features four new floor plans, thus rounding off the range in this model series. A practical change is the altered arrangement of the gas manifold, which has disappeared behind the cutlery drawer, yet can still be reached quickly and easily. The furniture design in a sen ash finish adorns the Premio even in the basic model, while all models feature the new awning light with LED technology for less energy consumption and better lighting. All Premio models from the new year now have a full 1.95 metres of interior headroom.

Bürstner Caravan Premio 2012

Moderately renovated: the Averso

Bürstner’s Averso product range now has a new interior look. The amaranth furniture finish creates a sense of cosiness, with new, solid handles and harmoniously shaped storage cabinet doors contributing to this as well. The 8-series Dometic refrigerators now have a curved door, while the new awning light with LED technology is now also part of the Averso’s standard features.

Bürstner Caravan Averso 2012

Bürstner Caravan Averso Innenraum 2012

The benefits of extra space: the Averso plus

The plus in the Averso plus doesn’t refer to the length of the cabin, but to the extra berths on board. The idea of having a fold-down bed in a caravan was developed at Bürstner two years ago. It was designed for those campers who don’t necessarily need a large caravan, but are looking for a compact vehicle that offers a full-size, extra bed for two people – precisely what is found in the fold-down bed above the seating area, which can be lowered either manually or electrically (optional). In the Averso plus the amaranth furniture finish has replaced golden teak, with the curved door on the refrigerator and the LED awning lights being additional upgrades.

Bürstner Caravan Averso Plus 2012

For the most sophisticated demands: Belcanto and Trecento

The two luxury caravans in the Bürstner model range are kicking off the new season with a few small changes. The Trecento’s new awning light and new standard exterior look in opal with smooth metal panelling are worth mentioning. Wooden slatted frames with an adjustable headboard for better reading comfort are now also available (except in floor plans with bunk beds). The wooden slatted frames are mounted into solid rubber supports. Both model series are available in eight different floor plans.

Better sleeping comfort in all caravans

In the 2012 season Bürstner is emphasising the use of cold-foam mattresses, since sleeping comfort continues to play an important role. This decision resulted from the initial evaluations of the customer advisory council, which Bürstner launched last year. Whether in an entry-level or luxury model, in the future all bunk beds will be equipped with high-quality foam mattresses, while top-quality cold-foam mattresses will guarantee comfort in fixed beds (option in the Premio). The single bed for two with a roll-up bed base is once again an option in all TL models. In just a matter of seconds, the roll-up bed base can be pulled out and the gap in the corridor closed with upholstered cushions. Two single beds can thus be transformed into a lavish berth measuring 2 x 2 m. Customers desiring this option must choose it when purchasing their Bürstner caravan as the single bed for two cannot be retrofitted.

Manoeuvring made easy: the Mover SE R

As an optional feature for the new model year, Bürstner has added an electrically operated manoeuvring system called Mover SE R to its range. Using a remote control, the caravan automatically rolls into the desired position simply and securely, even on low ground. The electric drive mechanism weighs 33 kilograms and can manoeuvre caravans weighing up to 2,000 kilograms. Installing the drive mechanism is simple, with no drilling into the drawbar required. The system can help to overcome inclines of up to 15% on campsites when used continuously, while 20% inclines – corresponding to the incline of wheel chocks – can be mastered when used for brief intervals. Bürstner offers the Mover SE R for the Averso, Averso plus, Belcanto and Trecento model series.

Many hire partners have already taken advantage of the ability to upload unlimited items to create an inventory in their account. To ensure this new feature operates smoothly, we have had to make a few changes on how your account is managed.

From now on, when your erento contract expires, your items will be automatically taken offline, starting with the oldest listings first. This may affect you if you have multiple listing contracts with erento. For example, if you have 2 contracts booked with 5 items in each and one of your contracts expires; 5 of your items will be automatically taken offline, leaving the 5 most recently uploaded items online.

This new process came into effect as of last night, so if you have noticed that some of your items were taken offline, it may be due to your contract status. You can now either swap which items are online, or simply contact your Account Manager to update the number of items available on your account.

Make your items stand out! Photo Galleries (for extra images) and Item Highlighting are now flexible, so they can be added to any item in your account.

Following flexible Top Positions, we have made other additional features flexible as well. What this means is you can now freely switch the Photo Galleries and Item Highlighting from item to item, whenever you want.

Photo Galleries

Uploading the standard three images per item may not give you the opportunity to display your items to full effect. By using a Photo Gallery you can add those all important extra images, for example; your product in use, or the current condition it is in. Displaying your item from multiple perspectives not only allows your potential customers to visualize it themselves, but they can also confirm that it applies to all their needs, thus increasing your enquiry and success rate.

The first three images you upload to an item will be automatically visible on the site, but you can upload a further 18 images which will also become visible if you enable a Photo Gallery for the item. If you already have this feature enabled on your account, you will see a link for it in your ‘My erento’ account. If not, then simply contact your Account Manager or the erento Support Team to set it up.

Item Highlighting

Immediately catch the eye of your potential customers! Item Highlighting allows your items to really stand out on the listing and search result pages by colour highlighting them against the standard white background. Testing has shown that this increases the number of visitors who click on your item and view your contact details. You will also see a link for this feature in your ‘My erento’ account if you already have it set up.

In order to allow for this flexibility we have had to change the way rates are calculated for the Item Highlighting.

Previously it was charged at 25p per item, per day on each location the item is listed in (approx £7.50 per location, per month). Now, for your convenience, there is a fixed rate of £7.50 per month, regardless of the number of locations your item is listed in!
